Waterbeds

We now stock the red oak four-board pictured with a King Bookcase Headboard, and Shaker Gent's Chest. The wood-frame waterbed is the strongest and cleanest of all types of beds.  If your airbed has deflated or your pillow top has flattened or your memory bed has dents, maybe it's time you had a great night's sleep on a warm waterbed.

Yes, we still stock waterbeds parts.
All Sleep is the new name since 1996 but we are the same company that sold you your first waterbed back in the seventies. Water & Air at one time had six waterbed stores in Eastern Connecticut.  We have sold thousands of waterbeds for decades.

We are proud to now offer an extensive selection  of wood-frame waterbeds, handcrafted by Woodforms of Foxboro, Mass. Link to Woodforms

Here are the basic parts to a wood-frame waterbed.
1.Water Mattress The waterbed mattress is made of very flexible and durable vinyl.  We advise you to begin to consider replacing your mattress after seven years.

2. Safety Liner The safety liner's purpose is to contain the water should your mattress develop a leak. Therefore, do not fill your mattress higher than the liner. Periodically, inspect between the mattress and liner for small objects that can cause punctures.  Earrings and poster push pins are the biggest culprits.

3. Heater w/control Heaters are insulated flat grids that consume between 110-350 watts of electricity. Normal settings should be between 85-90 degrees Fahrenheit.

4. Frame A good strong wood frame for your waterbed can last a lifetime.

5. Deck The most common decking is now 7/16" oriented-strand board

6.Pedestal The pedestal is a riser to lift the bed off the floor. It is recessed and can also be a good place for drawer storage.

Types of Waterbed Mattresses we offer

Free Flow (Full Flotation)
30 seconds of wave motion
price We find that using the time measurement rather than percentage-of-wave reduction is more exact for describing the waveless properties of water mattresses. The 30-second wave motion for a free flow was our measurement for a king size. The smaller sizes will stop quicker than a king. A free flow water mattress that is overfilled to the point where there is no extra material will stop sooner than a properly filled water mattress.

Reduced Motion
6-8 seconds of wave motion

Waveless
2 seconds of wave motion
Tranq V
